Quick answer

Read the actual agreement or decision and turn each required action into a checkable item. Record the responsible person, timing, and evidence of completion. Do not expand an order beyond what it says.

What to do

  1. Save the complete signed agreement or final decision, including notices.

  2. Copy each required action accurately into a tracker.

  3. Ask for clarification of unclear responsibilities or dates.

  4. Record authorizations, payments, appointments, or amended documents that show action occurred.

  5. Compare the completed action with what was required and identify remaining gaps in writing.

Limits and deadlines

34 CFR 361.57(h) requires implementation of the final hearing/review decision pending judicial review as described there. Any court orders and the current stage of the case still matter.

A worksheet does not enforce a decision. Obtain prompt help about missed implementation or appeal deadlines; an informal follow-up does not automatically preserve court rights.
