My approach and who I support
I help learners, individuals, and community organizations turn complicated information into useful next steps.
I bring education, legal research, administrative advocacy, and creative problem-solving together around your goals.
I start with your goal, explain the options, and agree on the work and price with you.
For community organizations and education programs, I can help develop practical lessons, workshops, and clear learning materials.
Research, records, and advocacy
I have completed a formal paralegal studies certificate program. My experience includes consumer advocacy in California Department of Rehabilitation matters, administrative research, evidence organization, analytical writing, and public-records research and litigation.
In my own California public-records case against a local public agency, I successfully opposed a motion for judgment on the pleadings—a request to end the case based on the pleadings—and the matter advanced to a scheduled merits hearing. That was a procedural milestone, not a final judgment on the merits.
This experience informs how I organize records, trace a statement to its source, identify missing information, and prepare a focused request. I am not an attorney. My training does not authorize independent legal practice, and I do not represent clients in court. Nonattorney administrative representation depends on the rules of the particular proceeding.
Teaching that starts with the learner
I hold a Master of Arts in Education and have professional teaching, curriculum-development, and individualized tutoring experience. My online tutoring work has included more than 300 students from different countries.
My background includes formal teaching credentials and community volunteer education work.
That experience helps me explain unfamiliar ideas, notice where an explanation needs another example, and design practice around what a learner wants to do. I create study guides, lessons, and learning plans that connect ideas with useful tasks.
I have also developed smartphone instruction for newcomer adults, including job applications, email, calendars, notes, document uploads, and access to essential digital services.
See the ideas in action in the Law 101 interactive study guide.
Communication across languages
I speak fluent Spanish and have studied Portuguese, with conversational/intermediate proficiency. I help with English–Spanish communication, educational materials, and appropriate Portuguese-language tasks within that proficiency.
When a setting requires specialist language skills, I help coordinate qualified interpreters or translators. This includes Arabic-language coordination; I do not claim Arabic fluency or certified interpretation credentials.
How I work with you
AI can help me develop an outline or explore ways to explain material. I review the sources and remain responsible for the work I provide. I do not treat generated text as evidence.
This website does not send your inquiry or worksheet entries to an AI service. Any proposed use of your materials outside the website requires a separate discussion about scope and handling.
- Start with your goal and what would make the work useful.
- Explain unfamiliar terms and show a concrete example.
- Check sources and distinguish documented facts from interpretations.
- Agree on scope, deliverables, pricing, and revision arrangements before work begins.
- Review what was requested, what was decided, and what actually happened.
